This unique teapot was created by ceramist Simon Mancha, born in 1987 in Guilherand Granges, Ardèche, France, and established his workshop in his ancestral land.
A hand-carved ceramic teapot made with foraged clay. It was made with local clay (stoneware) collected by me without a potter's wheel ("Tama Zukuri", "Kurinuki" technique). The piece is glazed from minerals harvested locally by hand and then ground. It is fired at a high temperature (1280°C).
Waterproof, food safe, local, natural, and hand-collected materials.
