Level Beginners/Elementary
The class will run over 6 sessions and is suitable for beginners and experienced.
Throughout the class, you will be introduced to basic, experimental, and advanced hand-building techniques.
You will learn about clay’s many possibilities as a sculptural material and be introduced to inspiring artists and designers in the field of work. During class, there will be demonstrations and examples of how to use technique and knowledge together, when building your ceramic sculpture.
You will learn how to transform an idea to practice and how to build, shape, dry, and glaze your piece properly. During all classes, there will be time for you to engage with your sculpture and to get individual feedback on your process. By the end of the course, we will fire the works so you can bring home your finished ceramic sculptures or designs.
This class will learn you about the different possibilities when it comes to ceramic sculpture and give you time to engage with your work.
Your teacher is Emilie Bobek. She is a ceramic artist and makes sculptures and installations. She is graduated from Rietveld Arts Academy in Holland.
Your booking is binding, and it's not possible to switch classes once booked. If the class gets canceled, you will receive a voucher for a new class. We unfortunately don’t refund classes.

Day one, Introduction to basic, experimental, and advanced hand-building techniques.

Day two, We start working on bigger construction. Introduction of different techniques.

Day three, Working with new techniques, throwing (your own designs), and trimming.

Day four, Working with new techniques, throwing (your own designs), and trimming.

Day five, Trimming and finishing all the pieces with decorating, etc.

Day six, Final decoration and glazing.
