Unique bowl made in the traditional 'Nerikomi' craft. Nerikomi is an artistic technique for creating pottery in multiple colors of clay.
Each piece has its unique shape due to accidental effects created by kneading, rolling, and cutting the soil by hand. Unlike products made in factories, the shape and detailed patterns of cups are slightly different for each product. Due to the nature of manual work, the product size may vary by one cm. Pressed marks, minor scratches, rough textures, black spots, pinholes, glaze flow marks, and all that come into contact with the mouth are all part of the work.
Pollygarden is a ceramic studio based in Seoul, founded by Min-Jeong Kim and Joo-Ah Hong, who love to explore the confluence between paintings and ceramic works. The idea of giving life to the clay created practical decorations and sculptures that give new energy to the living spaces.
