Explore the foundations of wheel throwing in this four-hour class at our Copenhagen studio. With step-by-step instruction and time to practise, you’ll learn the essential techniques and begin building confidence at the wheel.

Our instructor will guide you through centering the clay and shaping your first pieces, with an introduction to trimming. As you work, you’ll learn how pressure, movement, and the position of your hands influence the clay. There’s time to repeat the techniques, explore different forms, and receive individual guidance along the way.

The class is a good starting point if you’ve never tried throwing before. You’re also welcome if you have a little experience and would like to build on your skills. Come on your own or share the experience with someone — you don’t need a particular project in mind to get started.

At the end of the class, you can choose up to two pieces for us to glaze and fire. We’ll take care of this after your visit, ready for you to collect and use at home.

Organic tea and coffee are included throughout the class.
