Collection: Pauline Boisaubert
Pauline Boisaubert is a French artist, who lives and works in Paris. She first discovered ceramics somewhat by chance in 2017, during an introductory course. She immediately fell in love with the material and especially the potter's wheel.
Trained at the "Arts et Techniques Céramiques" school in Paris, she creates minimalist decorative and utilitarian pieces that highlight the raw nature of the material. Each piece is entirely hand-made, whether wheel-thrown or modeled by hand. She uses mostly white and black grogged stoneware, for its textured aspect. She finds that it gives the piece a primitive and raw character.
Pauline is most inspired by forms and shapes, this is what touches me first when discovering an object. Her work is also influenced by Japanese ceramics.
