'Intarsio 001' Vase

Description

Intarsio, or inlay, is the material embodiment of painting. Inspired by marble inlays, Daniele began coloring clay to create decorative effects through marbling, combining clays of different hues. His work draws inspiration from the stylized depiction of natural elements found in medieval herbals, which captivate him with their artistic simplicity. The precision of the cut, essential to this technique, allows Daniele to achieve a graphic synthesis with expressive impact.

The piece is handmade by Premiata Ceramica Sperimentale - a ceramic project by Daniele Tollot from Italy. Daniele’s expertise is evident in his mastery of Nerikomi and his innovative approach to glaze experimentation. Each piece he crafts reflects his commitment to pushing the boundaries and uncovering new possibilities within this ancient art form. At Premiata Ceramica Sperimentale, tradition merges with innovation, resulting in extraordinary, one-of-a-kind creations that both captivate and inspire.
