'Tris 005' Vase

Description

Tris encapsulates the union of happenstance and decoration. The nerikomi decoration is structural, meticulously assembled piece by piece, transcending the object by manifesting both externally and internally. Happenstance emerges in the manipulation and repetition of modules to create patterns; thus, the initial grid-like geometric scheme transforms into fluid forms. Tris resembles digital printing, allowing for limited editions with identical patterns and experimentation with material manipulations and graphic glitches.

The piece is handmade by Premiata Ceramica Sperimentale - a ceramic project by Daniele Tollot from Italy. Daniele’s expertise is evident in his mastery of Nerikomi and his innovative approach to glaze experimentation. Each piece he crafts reflects his commitment to pushing the boundaries and uncovering new possibilities within this ancient art form. At Premiata Ceramica Sperimentale, tradition merges with innovation, resulting in extraordinary, one-of-a-kind creations that both captivate and inspire.

Fired at 1210°, transparent glossy glaze
